Participants are provided effective strategies to strengthen and foster a positive a working relationship with the media and how to leverage the media to amplify the department’s message, build brand and reputation.
The training provides preparation strategies and proven techniques of control to communicate effectively. Participants are taught how to strategically manage aggressive reporters and drive the message.
We provide techniques to effectively manage communications subsequent to critical incidents, i.e.: officer-involved shootings, in-custody deaths, allegations of misconduct etc.
Participants will be instructed to identify, and counter techniques reporters’ use that frequently sabotage media interviews and press conferences.
